Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Mercury you agree to these Terms. If you don't, don't use Mercury.

2. The service

Mercury provides an email-verification API. We charge per tier as listed on the Pricing page. Free tier quotas are enforced in middleware; over-quota requests return HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.

3. Your responsibilities

You will not submit email addresses you don't have a lawful basis to process, you will keep your API keys secret, and you will not attempt to reverse-engineer our detection pipeline.

4. Acceptable use

Bulk-verifying harvested email lists for spam is not acceptable. We will rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts engaged in abusive behaviour at our sole discretion.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mercury is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Termination

You can cancel any time. We can terminate for cause with 30 days' notice or immediately for material breach.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes are resolved in the courts of New Castle County, Delaware.
