Frequently asked
Do you count verifications against my quota on a cache hit?
No. Cache hits (KV within TTL) are free. We only bill — and only count against your daily quota — for fresh lookups.
How long do you cache a result?
By default, 1 hour. Pass ?refresh=true to bypass.
Can I bring my own SMTP prober?
On Enterprise. The prober runs on a separate node so you can pin it to your own IP space and treat its deliverability reputation independently.
What happens when I exceed my daily quota?
We return 429 with code quota_exceeded and a Retry-After header. No silent degradation, no surprise overage.
Do you offer a free trial of paid tiers?
No. The Free tier is the trial. You can stay on it forever; the paid tiers only unlock features you already know you want.
